Improvised Trek makes a great gift!

Tickets for our next performances of the hit improvised parody of Star Trek, Where No Man Has Gone Before are now on sale, and it’s a great way to treat the science fiction fan in your life.

Thursday January 8 at 8PM
Friday January 9 at 8PM
Saturday January 10 at 8PM
Sunday January 11 at 2PM

In each show, the cast creates an entirely new episode based on the suggestions provided by that night’s audience. The January performances will mark the debut of our third new episode format – “Worthy Opponent”.

Tickets are $15 on Brown Paper Tickets, with no hidden fees. Day-of tickets at the door will be $18 if available. Ticketing is will-call with festival seating, so it’s easy to give these tickets as a gift!

If you’re giving these as a gift, feel free to download our print-at-home gift certificates for your loved ones. Just don’t forget to buy the tickets first…

All performances for the January run will take place at Theatre Off Jackson (409 7th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98104).

One weekend only holiday sale starts Thanksgiving morning at 12:01 AM!

We’ve never run a major sale for our original hit Star Trek improvised parody, Where No Man Has Gone Before – those houses have been filling up since 2011. But in appreciation for these many years, we’re running a very special promotion for 4 days only: Friday November 28 through December 1st.

The sale is valid for all of our January performance dates – January 8, 9, 10, or 11 at Theatre Off Jackson in Seattle’s International District.

AUDITIONS: Where No Man Has Gone Before

Seattle Experimental Theater will be holding auditions December 2nd from 7 – 9pm at Theatre Puget Sound (Seattle Center) for Where No Man Has Gone Before, an improvised parody of the original Star Trek series. Callbacks will be December 3rd from 7-9pm. An audition appointment is required; please see below for submission information.

SET is seeking improvisers with a minimum of two years of scripted or improv experience to join our troupe for our January show run at Theatre Off Jackson. Performers of all ages, ethnicities and body types are encouraged to audition. We will be casting a few named character parts, including the part of Khan, for the January run.

Knowledge of Star Trek is a plus, but not a requirement. Performers for Where No Man Has Gone Before are paid as a percentage of the show profits.

Availability for following upcoming performance dates is preferred, but not required:

Where No Man Has Gone Before began in 2011. In addition to runs at various local venues, it has also been featured at The Seattle Festival of Improv Theater, The Hawaii Festival of Improv Theater, Emerald City Comi-con, Geek Girl Con, and many others.

For an audition spot, send an email to auditions@seattleexperimentaltheater.com with your name, resume and headshot. Auditions will be in groups, in 30 minute slots. Please let us know if you would prefer a 7pm, 7:45pm or 8:30pm audition slot.

After an extended away mission, Seattle Experimental Theater is proud to announce the return of our original hit improvised Star Trek parody, Where No Man Has Gone Before, January 8 -11, 2015!

Where No Man Has Gone Before, Seattle Experimental Theater’s hit  improvised parody of the original Star Trek TV series, is returning to Theatre Off Jackson in January with a brand new episode. Join the crew of the enterprise as they encounter an old foe that puts the crew and ship in unforeseen danger.

At every performance, the cast will use suggestions from the audience to create a brand new episode. Each performance is a completely original adventure.

Where No Man Has Gone Before has played at various Seattle venues, receiving popular and critical acclaim. It has been featured in the Hawaii Improvaganza Festival, The Seattle Festival of Improv Theater, Geek Girl Con, and at Emerald City Comi-Con in 2013 and 2014.

The cast of Where No Man Has Gone Before is Tony Beeman,  Colin Madison, Jekeva Phillips, Wayne Pishue, Cheryl Platz, and Nicholas Schell.

Where No Man Has Gone Before is directed by Jeannine Clarke.

Performances are January 8, 9 and 10th at 8pm and January 11th at 2pm.
